Catholics admitted to Hospitals:
Please share this information with all Catholics that you know.
If you or one of your family is going into hospital please ensure that the Catholic Chaplaincy at the hospital is informed so that the inpatient
can receive appropriate care. As access to patients in hospital may be restricted , it is suggested that the patient have a note to give to hospital staff on admission, notifying staff that they are Catholic and would appreciate the Catholic Chaplaincy service. This could be followed up by a telephone call from the family to the ward to ensure the re quest is actioned.
When a person is due to go into hospital please also let your parish priest know so that he can administer the Sacrament of the Sick where appropriate.
To contact the chaplain’s office call 02392 286408
(or through the main switchboard 02392 286000).

Good News for QA Hospital
I am delighted to inform you that Deacon Kim Cabatana has been appointed as one of the three full-time Chaplains at QA hospital and will be beginning with us at QA in April. Some of you may already know Deacon Kim. Deacon Kim comes with a wealth of experience after serving for many years at Frimley Park Hospital. His warm personality and loving presence will add a great deal to our team and will enhance the support we, in chaplaincy, can give to both patients and staff.
There is also an Oncall Catholic Priest covering the hospital 24 hours a day so in an emergency please call the switchboard on 023 9228 6000 requesting a Catholic priest who will be informed to come and see you.
God bless you, Fr James Lewis (Catholic Chaplain Lead at QA Hospital)
