                                                in the hall. We need bottles and chocolate for
                                                    tombola stalls. Cakes for cake stall on 30 Nov and

6th Dec                                 Jesus, Prince of Peace Christmas Fair at St. Joseph’s
                                                Church, Havant. As you may be aware we are working
                                                   together to organise a social event to bring our whole
                                                   parish together this Christmas. Bring yourselves and your
                                                   families on Saturday to enjoy the event!

6th Dec                                 Seeker Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Fareham. PO16
                                                ONQ. Our Vocations Promotion team invites you to join
                                                  them for Seeker Saturdays, beginning Saturday 18th
                                                  October, 11am-3pm.
                                                   Pope Leo XIV recently called for the creation of
                                                   communities where young people can feel accepted,
                                                   listened to, and encouraged in their vocational
                                                   discernment. Our regular gathering for Seeker Saturday
                                                   gather for exactly that purpose. If you are discerning if the
                                                    Lord is calling you to the priesthood, diaconate
                                                    or religious life, then spending time with like-minded
                                                    people can be really beneficial to any vocational 
                                                    journey. Our time together includes prayer, discussion,
                                                    Mass, Adoration and lunch too.

7th Dec         1.30 pm         Sacred Heart Christmas Fair  straight after Mass for
                                                  parishioners. Open to the general public from 1.30pm.  

9th Dec       6.30 pm          Churches Together in Horndean Carol Service.  In the
                                                  Horndean Memorial square.

15th Dec       6.30 pm        Sacred Heart Annual Candlelit Carol Concert  with the                                                         Denmead Brass Band. An evening of Readings and
                                                 traditional Carols followed by mince pies and mulled wine.

21st Dec     2.00 pm          Children's Christmas party and Nativity play at St.
                                              Edmund's  Games, food and rehearsal of Nativity play
                                                 which will be performed at 4.15pm for anyone to attend.
                                                 Sign-up sheet in hall for numbers etc. Contact Katie Parker.

10th Jan '26  10.00 am    St John’s Cathedral, Portsmouth.  Gregorian Chant Course
                                             2026. All at St Edmund and the Sacred Heart are invited to
                                                the course. There are three one-day workshops and it is
                                                suitable for beginners and experienced singers.

June '26                                Buckfast Abbey Retreat  
                                                  For anyone who would like to join us on retreat at Buckfast
                                                  Abbey, there are still four rooms available as part of our 
                                                  booking of the whole hotel from 22nd to 26th June 2026.
                                                  This will be our third visit to Buckfast Abbey. Previous
                                                  retreats have proved to be very relaxed and restful with
                                                  time to make the most of the spiritual activities available
                                                  to us: Monastery daily prayer times, Lectio Divina,
                                                 Morning mass, and meaningful, inspirational, spiritual
                                                 reflections led by Father Jeremy. All on offer but completely
                                                 voluntary. The peaceful atmosphere of Buckfast Abbey and
                                                 gardens enhances all we do, with everything close at hand
                                                 but by no means enclosed.
