Welcome to Saint Edmund's, Horndean
Dates for your diary
15th Nov 11.00 am Seeker Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Fareham. PO16
ONQ. Our Vocations Promotion team invites you to join
them for Seeker Saturdays, beginning Saturday 18th
October, 11am-3pm.
Pope Leo XIV recently called for the creation of
communities where young people can feel accepted,
listened to, and encouraged in their vocational
discernment. Our regular gathering for Seeker Saturday
gather for exactly that purpose. If you are discerning if the
Lord is calling you to the priesthood, diaconate
or religious life, then spending time with like-minded
people can be really beneficial to any vocational
journey. Our time together includes prayer, discussion,
Mass, Adoration and lunch too.
To find out more about this regular event or to enquiry
about attending (as booking is required) please

6th Dec Jesus, Prince of Peace Christmas Fair at St. Joseph’s
Church, Havant.
As you may be aware we are working
together to organise a social event to bring our whole
parish together this Christmas. We need your help to make
this a success, so please give as generously as you can to
our weekly appeals as we prepare for the event.
Each week will also be collecting anything you can think of
for the tombola and children’s lucky dip, the more prizes
we can collect, the more chance there is for everybody to
win something.
All parents, please be advised that we are hoping to have a
visit from St Nicholas, so if you would like to enable your
child to visit him for a small gift, please send us a note in
the envelopes provided after Mass, so that we know how
many to expect, and what funds might be available to help him fill his sack with gifts.
This weekend: Produce and Preserves Jars of Jam and
Chutney that you made from this year’s harvest can make
excellent small gifts, please share what you can.
On the weekend of 14/15 November: Reminder to bring
Books Bottles and Craft Re-gifts and Produce.
On 22/23 November, our final appeal is for home-made
cakes. We don’t want you to bring them to Mass. Plan your
bake and prepare to deliver to us at St Joseph’s Hall on
Friday 5 December. You have two weeks to create your
showstopper!
We will be setting up the day before the Fair, so please
bring your contributions to St Josephs from 11am-3pm, on
Friday, and bring yourselves and your families on Saturday to enjoy the event!
