............................................................ Fr Anthony Fyk, Director of Liturgical Formation and the
Liturgy Formation team, invite you to a formation morning commencing with Mass at 9.00 am. There will be a welcome
session from Fr Anthony, a talk focussing on the Eucharist in
the sacred scriptures as well as a session on Lectio Divina:
“Living a Eucharistic life – what does it mean to live out the
eucharist?”. All Eucharistic Ministers, experienced and new,
are very welcome to attend. If you wish to attend, please

9th May...12 noon...............Mass for the Sick. St Edmund, Horndean, would like to
extend a warm welcome to everyone in Jesus Prince of Peace
Parish for a special Mass with the Sacrament of the Sick. Lunch in the hall afterwards and for catering reasons please
email Sue at office@waterlooville-catholic.org.uk or sign the
list in St. Edmund if you wish to attend.
There will be a collection which will go towards the cost of lunch and any money left over at the end of the year goes to
charities like CAFOD, Rowans Hospice, Jesuit Refugee programme and Aid to the Church in Need.
16th May Seeker Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Fareham. PO16
ONQ. Our Vocations Promotion team invites you to join
them for a regular Seeker Saturday, 11am-3pm. If you are
discerning if the Lord is calling you to the priesthood,
diaconate or religious life, then spending time
with like-minded people can be really beneficial to any
vocational journey. Our time together includes prayer,
discussion, Mass, Adoration and lunch too.

31st May.....2.00 pm..........Fundraising with a twist! St. Edmund parishioners,
Maureen and Clare celebrate their 80th and 50th birthdays
this year, respectively. They are hoping to raise funds for
research into Huntington’s Disease and will be hosting an
Afternoon Tea Sacred Heart Parish Centre. Raffle tickets will
be on sale after Sunday Masses at St. Edmund’s. First prize is
a weekend away on the Isle of Wight for 2-3 people, a
photography voucher plus many more prizes! Your support
for this event would be gratefully appreciated. There is no
known cure for this disease.

June Buckfast Abbey Retreat
For anyone who would like to join us on retreat at Buckfast
Abbey, there are still four rooms available as part of our
booking of the whole hotel from 22nd to 26th June 2026.
This will be our third visit to Buckfast Abbey. Previous
retreats have proved to be very relaxed and restful with
time to make the most of the spiritual activities available
to us: Monastery daily prayer times, Lectio Divina,
Morning mass, and meaningful, inspirational, spiritual
reflections led by Father Jeremy. All on offer but completely
voluntary. The peaceful atmosphere of Buckfast Abbey and
gardens enhances all we do, with everything close at hand
but by no means enclosed.
